Carol Lynn Lapotka wears a lot of hats as owner, designer, and everything else in between for REcreate designs, founded in 2005 in Madison, WI.  Originally from the Midwest, she moved to Missoula, MT in 2007 to explore creative possibilities west of the Mississippi (and law school for hubby).  She sees the beauty in the old, cast off, scraps of others. Since graduating with a degree in art & design, she has been focusing on creating in a space using recycled materials as a main component.  Her head turns at the site of an overflowing curb and is uncontrollable when presented with bins and stacks of treasures waiting to be discovered. REcreate designs product line includes clothing, books, bags, and accessories made from recycled bits and pieces that are repurposed into quality items that all can enjoy and appreciate.  This includes t-shirt skirts, recycled journals, and a new children’s line! Carol Lynn is also the main organizer of the Missoula MADE fair (holiday & summer).
