Leah Boelman is the wizard behind the curtain at littlegreenthings and resides in Bozeman. She grew up in a family of painters and graphic designers and always felt like the "odd man out" in a family of artists. Math and science were her childhood passions, after all. In 1999 she began to tap into her creativity upon attending the Culinary Institute of America and graduating with a culinary degree in Pastry and Baking Arts. After ten years in the dessert kitchen and the development of many food allergies it was time for her to shift gears once again. Littlegreenthings was born out of a need for a non-food creative outlet and a love for sharing the fun and quirky images of times past. Each piece created is completely one-of-a-kind and utilizes original vintage magazine and book pictures from the 1970's and earlier. She likes to offer unique pieces to her customers that preserve the stories and the sentiments of our pasts. There is also an emphasis put on having as little environmental impact as possible within that process. All resin used is plant and peanut-based and non-petroleum, most light switch plates come salvaged before getting their images, and as much packaging as possible is made from upcycled materials. Littlegreenthings' pieces are intended to bring fun into your every day life, while offering you your own little piece of the "good ol' days".
