LaVonne Stucky lives north of Belgrade, MT on 40 acres of the orginal 160 acre homestead her husband’s grandfather homesteaded. She takes great pride in farming without chemicals, much like those homesteaders.
LaVonne raises sheep (among many other farm animals) in the Dry Creek area. The sheep give her glorious wool in exchange fon her care and feeding. When she discovered needle felting in 2003 she felt as though it had all come full circle: raising sheep for beautiful wool and turning it into needle felted sculpture! It’s just one of the reasons she calls it Serenity Sheep Farm.
