April Hale is originally from Tennessee, and now lives in Bozeman, Montana. She grew up making jewelry out of the dead birds she found in her backyard, and eventually she got her Craft Certificate in Metalsmithing from the Appalachian Center for Craft. April recently received her Master's of Fine Arts from Montana State University. Her jewelry, made from a minimum of 50% reused or recycled materials, is inspired by the beauty she sees in plants, stars, dirt, and all the other wild things in the cosmos. When April is not creating exciting and non-traditional jewelry, she enjoys teaching, working in her garden, and going for walks with her goats.
