Donovan Peterson is the owner and seamster behind Retread, the urban chic, ultra green, studio based in Missoula, Montana. Crafting messenger bags, purses, wallets and accessories, Donovan takes upcycling to the extreme, with most products exceeding 95% reused materials by weight. Materials used include inner tubes, billboards, phone cords, carpet pad, wood floor matting and vintage zippers. With degrees in Psychology and Rural Planning and a certificate in Life Coaching, Donovan is an accidental artist. He only  stumbled upon his craft after a futile search for a functional wallet that inspired him to create his own coalescing with a loss of funding for his work with teen moms. When not in the sweatshop, Donovan can be found enjoying a beverage at one of Missoula’s many fine coffee houses or brewers, reading under a tree or playing kickball outside his front door.
