Nici Holt Cline is a fourth generation Montanan living with her husband (childhood crush) and their kids in Missoula. She's in deep with growing and preserving food, making art, writing, running, sewing, adoring her small brood of pets and mothering her two daughters, Margot and Ruby.
Nici sews on her grandma's Singer Featherweight in her basement studio while her kids nap. Formally trained as a painter and printmaker, she loves the creative process and is most excited about dreaming up and making new designs. In the swirl of making clothes for her kids she started appliquéing on her thrift store scores. Their popularity grew and she now appliqués all manner of items on clothes for wee babes, kids and adults. Nici's state silhouette shirts, sewn on high-quality, American-made tees, are her biggest seller. She sews a limited number of each color combination ensuring the wearer has a unique, hip number that wears beautifully.
Her creative soul is equally fed by writing and she contributes regularly to her popular blog, www.digthischick.net.
